Fargo Ribfest 2008

Today, I attended my first Ribfest and it was exciting! Okay, I'm exaggerating just a little, but it was pretty cool. There's 7 different rib vendors competing for the People's Choice award. All you gotta do is vote for the vendor you like the best. I'm not too fond of BBQ ribs, but one place stuck out: Desperado's BBQ Ribs. The sauce was perfect (not too spicy, not too bland) and you can pull the meat right off the bone with ease! I also had a W'Ham BBQ Hot Dog from Willingham's BBQ (yes, a hot dog with BBQ seasoning) and BBQ shrimp from Aussom Aussie's BBQ. I might come back tomorrow and try the other places, but for now, Desperado's BBQ Ribs are my vote.

Red River Zoo & Thunder Road

On Wednesday, I had a 'date' with one of my good friends, Chris. We decided to play a few rounds of mini golf and played those addicting games (the ones that you win tickets from). After he left, I found myself getting bored. I decided to go to the Red River Zoo. It's not as exciting as Chahinkapa, but it's just as good. Unfortunately, I locked my keys in my car and got charged $40 for it *rolls eyes*. But I finally got to enjoy the zoo. All in all, it was a good day.

Thunder Road & 'Boring'ville

Yesterday I re-lived my childhood by taking a field trip (lol) to Thunder Road & Bonanzaville (guess which place was better). Bonanzaville is this village (no, not dedicated to the show) that shows what living on a farm was like back in the late 1800s to early 1900s. Been there, done that. Eight dollars down the drain. After a quick lunch, I decided to find something a little more exciting for my taste. Lo and behold, I made my way to Thunder Road, an outdoor amusement park (not like Disney World). I played 2 rounds of mini golf (I got worse instead of better, btw) and rode the go-karts. It was fun, except it was windy! REALLY WINDY! BTW, I recommend Thunder Road to everyone (don't bother going to Bonanzaville-it's not worth it).

Prince Caspian

Okay...here's the sitch: I was gonna see the movie Friday night, but got sick. *rolls eyes* Not much you can do about that, but anyway...I finally saw the movie (thank god) and LOVED IT!!!! It completely trumped the 1st one! Okay, so I'm exaggerating a little, but it was really awesome. Sure, it has its dark moments, but there are some comedic moments as well. I would recommend it to anyone. If I were a movie critic, I would DEFINITELY give it 4 out of 5 stars.
